Salt Frog jumped into theatre but mostly delivered interpretive writing services to parks, museum, historic sites and other places of informal learning.

Researched and wrote a park history, designed educational programs, wrote articles and signage about nature and history. (1999 to 2012 for Capital Regional District Parks, Vancouver Island).
Studied primatology at Simon Fraser University, with fieldwork at Camp Leakey, Indonesian Borneo. Published several related articles (1987 to 1990).
